God Can Be Trusted

        I had my devotional reading from Selwyn Hughes Everyday Light based on Psalms 20 with emphasis on verse 7 "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." After pondering on this Psalm as whole, I started wondering how many of us really trust in God for protection and everything? Even Nations that claim to be Christian, are designing the most sophisticated weaponry to destroy their perceived enemies. In Kenya for example pastors asked the government to allow them own guns to protect themselves against terrorists( http://www.charismanews.com/world/41603-kenyan-pastors-ask-for-ak-47s-amid-radical-muslim-persecution) . Sample the weapons below designed just to kill Gods creation- a fellow man.
     Selwyn Hughes said that it is essential if we are to go deeper with God to have confidence in His character. Do we as Christian leaders( including Catholics) have confidence in God's character? How much time have we spent with God to seek His guidance in matters like the P.E.V? Hughes posed these question; Is God good and can He be trusted? He correctly observed that the manner in which we answer this question is crucial to our ongoing relationship with Him. If we have doubts about His character -- His justice for example -- it will most certainly affect the way we view Him and approach Him.
        In Kenya at the moment the Christian church is more of a monument than a growing organism ready to demonstrate God's presence in its midst.There is no power of the Holy Spirit in us because we have allowed politics and tribalism to take control of our hearts and we have become defenders of those political leaders who belong to our ethnic community. The only power visible in our churches is the soaring numbers of followers who attend services, the big buildings, the magnificent public address systems, and the ability to pay for live television broadcasts on National TV stations. The power to really evangelize is not there at all. Young people are opting for Islam and the educated people are becoming atheists. Others who are tired of messages that emphasize on tithes and miracles decided to stay at home on Sundays morning to provide audience to the Jehovah Witnesses evangelists who tirelessly visit such members. The Church is powerless because they no longer trust in God but in horses and chariots.
       The ICC cases are another example of how the Church closed its eyes to truth and decided to be advocates of the leaders without seeking God's guidance in this matter. I am not suggesting in any way that the ICC court could have or can solve our problems because the court is a human institution and therefore fallible. But how many pastors approached the the two leaders and told them that indeed there are some issues that paint a bad picture of their leadership? In some of the incidents reported by some witnesses in the cases, the two leaders are mentioned adversely, there is no single leader who asked the two to come clear on these allegations and as leaders, they have a moral authority to stand in public and come clear because the Bible says:
1Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. . James 5: 16.
          It is true that some communities are now reconciled and working together since the two leaders come from these two communities and therefore everyone is saying let's move on. But what is God saying? Have we really consulted God on moving on? Have those communities that attacked others come out to confess and ask for forgiveness? Balkanising of the Kenyan people by some intellectuals ( tyranny of numbers) was followed to the letter and many Christian leaders are still supporting it even now. Is tyranny of numbers unifying the Kenyans or balkanizing us?  I heard the Deputy President say that he wanted the people of Gatundu to elect a particular politician because of abrasive and combative character https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH8obVeXpQs.

My question here is, does the Kenyan Leadership trust in people like this politician here or in God? Does the exchange of words with the opposition ensure the presidency works? Please just watch the video and you will see what I am talking about. The job description given to the politician in question and others of the same character form both the opposition and the government has started bearing "fruit"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzdNA7n40ho.

So should Kenyans move on? I strongly recommend that religious leaders have to take up their responsibility and the Spirit that worked in Prophet Nathan when he confronted King David should work them. Pastors should tell the two leaders to lead the Nation in facing our sin as a nation, confess and repent. Repentance brings healing.
        The reason our religious leaders are waking up every morning oblivious of the decaying of the body of the so called Christian Church is because they do not want to be blacklisted by the government, their fear may be that they will be seen as traitors of their ethnic community and may be they would be defrocked. The more we stay in bed the more evil takes control of our leadership and it will be too let for us to bring back our nation to where our children will live in peace as a nation. Selwyn Hughes said, many do not realize how profoundly the way we think about God and His character influences the way we worship Him, the way we work for Him, and the way we witness to Him. Any doubts about the goodness of God will result in our souls keeping their distance from Him. If we do not have complete confidence in Him, we will not desire a close relationship with Him.
         Many of my friends with whom we prayed together after the PEV of 2007 and were badly affected by this unfortunate dark spot in our history, turned back into their ethnic groupings immediately the current government came into place.Their hatred now was diverted and now directed towards other leaders from other communities who stood in opposition to their favourite leaders. Kenyan communities are now divided into two major groupings and this division is not good because the basis is not on political views but ethnic. No Christian leader is speaking about this. Why? The answer to this question is;  most pastors and all our political leadership no longer trust in God but in their ethnic communities, weapons, tanks, jet fighters, money, and etc. Psalm 20 sums it up this way:
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.

As for me and my house, I want to pray today that I will do what this song says: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0S8Z-dMM40
May God bless each of you in the coming year to live for Him and seek to go deeper with God. To understand Him and to love Him truly. In Jesus Name Amen.

Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles.

    The following was a response to a friend of mine I met in one of the social networks called Jagem, I consider Jagem a heretic because he wrote in the social network forum that the Apostle Paul was a traitor. Below was my response to each issue he raised;
      Thanks for your response. I would however point out that the pointing out of your ignorance of what the scripture says does not imply that you are foolish. I did not by any way insinuate that that you are intellectually challenged. I know for sure you are well educated and a brilliant person I am glad to associate with. But I will still say that you are as ignorant of the scripture as I am to Mathematics.
    Secondly you did not need to Note that you had simplified some of the words used for me to be able to understand it straight forward.You just needed to go a head and used whatever jargon you would have wished because I am able to understand you very well as I will demonstrate shortly.
    Thirdly, I would like to warn all those who read from Jagem especially when he writes on matters religion to be very skeptical because Jagem is a heretic and a believer in the false gospel of Barnabas and works of a man called Ray Hagins. Most of what he writes about Christianity and the hatred he habours on the writings of Paul, is as a direct influence of this literature which in some key respects conforms to the Islamic interpretation of Christian origins and contradicts the New Testament teachings of Christianity. We should therefore know this fact. If this is not true, Jagem should deny that he has ever read and owned this literature.
      I said on the onset of this write up that Jegem is ignorant of the Christian scriptures and the extensive quotes he posted on this forum from the writings of Paul, have been twisted and misinterpreted. I wish he supported his arguments with evidence that he himself understands instead of just saying what other haters of Jesus Christ have said. I will now deal with what he said item by item.First what you called here a fact, is not a fact but a fallacy. You said:

Fact on Paul's Action: Paul taught Gods people to obey the Gentile Christian masters on earth.

Evidence: Colossians 3:22 “servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh (body) not with eye-service, as Men pleases; but in singleness of heart, fearing god.
 Fact: Paul also said honor and believe your slave masters and let no one tell you different. Meaning Paul taught Hebrews to respect their gentile masters and love them with all their heart.

Evidence: 1 Timothy 6:1-3 “let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, and they that have believing masters, let them not despise (hate) them. If any man teach other wise, and consent not to wholesome words (talk back)
     The above fallacious "facts" of yours are baseless given the correct contextual interpretation of the verse in Colossians 3.22.
Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God  and in 1 Timothy 6:1-3 All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be [a]spoken against. 2 Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who [b]partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and [c]preach these principles.
      First on this, I point out to you Jagem that you are a heretic because imagine you copy and paste a portion of scripture but then you change the it to suit the teaching of the gospel of Barnabas which denied the deity of Jesus. An unsuspecting reader will not notice what you did. Why did you change the Noun God at the end of the verse to read with a small "g"? The Greek phoboumenoi ton Theon with the definite article "the" dictates that word theon should be God with a capital letter. This shows your ignorance of scripture interpretation but your brilliance in leading people astray as the gospel of Barnabas requires of you.
       Secondly on the same verses, I would like to put it to you that you took this verses out of context because Paul is not addressing Hebrews here. He is instead talking to Christians Colossians 3: 1  Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
         Paul was referring to a special people not Hebrews as you put it. And he also was not telling them to obey the "Gentile masters" He was teaching the members of the Christian community to live with each other in peace and lead Holy lives serving and working with one heart. Not to be corrupt, not to lie and be honest with their employers. The best rendering of the word masters here would be "employers". You Jagem yourself are an employee, if you were living at that time you would be called a slave or a servant because that was the set up and the vocabulary used in the Greek language that was the linguafranca of the times. There were no NGO'S with people like you with MBA's to be called CEO's. All who were working for other for a wage or for free were all slaves. The Geek word for this was Doulos. Even Jesus Himself was referred to as a slave in Philippians 2:7 the word translated servant is doulos But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
           I would like to warn members of this forum to read what you write critically and cross check with your sources to know that the only source you have is the false gospel of Barnabas which has been used to spark hatred in the African Americans and Africans to find that the apostle Paul was teaching about Slavery and Slave trade an evil that was committed by the selfish Europeans and Arabs.
    Paul did not just speak about servants working with sincerity he also talked about wives, husbands fathers and their children. So people please read the whole chapter of Colossians 3 and if possible read the entire book because it is a letter to be read in one sitting.
    Jagem sound critical thinking and reading calls us to use both inductive and deductive thinking skills. But you tend to to overdo the later than the former and you do it basing on the only source you have, the false gospel of Barnabas. You ignorantly said that Jesus contradicted Paul's teaching. You say;

Fact: Jesus contradicts what Paul was teaching, about calling man your master and spiritual father like the Catholic priests, Rabbi are called, as god! For (Christ) Jesus said I am not your master!

And you use Matthew 23:8-10 as your evidence.“but be not ye called rabbi: for one is your master, even (not) Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your father, which is in heaven. For one is not your master, even Christ.
    Now proper interpretation of the portion of scripture that you have distorted with your ignorance of the Greek Language and the heavy influence of your authority- the false gospel of Barnabas- I paste here the verse in context and will deal with it exegetically.
Mathew 23: 1. Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; 3 therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them. 4 They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger. 5 But they do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their [a]phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments. 6 They love the place of honor at banquets and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 and respectful greetings in the market places, and being called Rabbi by men. 8 But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 Do not be called [b]leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.
        In the above portion Jesus was talking to all the people warning them of the false teaching of the Pharisees and scribes who not practicing what the Jewish religion taught and they demanded that others were to keep the law but they themselves did not. In fact Jagem this scripture you quoted above see vs 5 But they do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their [a]phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments, agrees with what Paul taught in Colossians 3:22 where he asked Christian servants in all things to obey those who are their masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. So there is no contradiction here.
         Still on Mathew 23: The people who Jesus condemned and warned the crowed and His followers not to call them "teacher","Father" and "leaders" were the then religious leaders in the name of pharisees and scribes. You have added your own words and the the interpretation as your gospel of Barnabas requires of you. There is nowhere where the scripture in our discussion where Jesus says that He should not be called Rabbi. In fact the scripture says this(John 13:12-13) 12 So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. Read the scripture in context and you will understand.
     About what is being practiced in the Roman Catholic Church where priests are called father and in the Christian Church in general where leaders are seen as leaders and teachers. The verses in Mathew are a clear warning to all of us who are Christians that we should be careful not to fall in the same trap as the Pharisees and the Scribes. It has been allover in the history of church that sin does not spare anyone who plays with it. Right from the time of the Old Testament Kings,prophets and priests who fondled with sin were dealt with severely and were rejected. Starting with Moses,Aaron,the sons of Elly the High priest King Saul, King Saul, King David, King Ahab and many others. When Jesus told the people not to call anyone good teacher, or father, or master here on earth, what He meant was that people should not look to the worldly leaders whoever they are as the ultimate source of spirituality and life but should instead focus on God and to Jesus His only Son. Any thing taught bu anyone must be tested by the scriptures which is the final authority. But as for Jagem and others, the false gospel of Barnabas is their authority.
       I am humbled by the lives of some Roman Catholic Priests and leaders who lived lives that showed that Christ Jesus was indeed in their lives. Mother Theresa of KOlKOta St. Francis of Asisi, and others stand out as a testimony to a genuine Christian Calling. In fact in the Christian circles and even in the African Culture, a person with integrity and high standing in the society qualifies to be called a father.In the world of academia we call people fathers of particular innovations e.g Father of atomic engineering Troy W. Barbee Jrb, ftaher of Nuclear Navy-Hyman George Rickover (January 27, 1900 – July 8, 1986)  and even in our African politics and leadership we called the late Mzee Kenyatta as the father of the nation, Nyerere of Tanzania as the father of African ujamaa and the South Africans called the late Nelson Mandela father.
          In the Roman Catholic Church and in the other denominations that believe in the Bible, when leaders are referred to as fathers, mothers,brothers, sisters and even masters,it does not mean that they are exalted above God. These are but titles that are just humanly. All of us were educated by teachers and when ODM members were calling Raila Amolo Odinga as baba, were they saying that he is god? Not at all, this was just a way of respecting him as one among the fathers or multiparty politics in Kenya. And believe you me Raila Odinga would not have qualified to be called father when his father was still alive.
       You also say:
Fact: Paul tells his Hebrew brothers to love there Gentile masters, please them and not to talk back.
      Evidence: Titus 2:9-10 “exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again. (Talk back)
      Although the above has already been taken care of in the first part of this response, I would like to paste here the same verse Titus2:9-10 from the NASB version
9 Urge bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not [a]argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
        Once again you have looked at this scripture out of context influenced by your sole authority-the false gospel of Barnabas-The entire chapter of Titus 2 has instruction to the elderly, bother men and women vs 1,2, Young men; vs 6-8 and verse 9-10 deals with servants.
     As I had said before the word bondservant comes from the Greek word doulos, meaning “one who is subservient to, and entirely at the disposal of, his master; a slave.”In Roman times, the term bondservant or slave could refer to someone who voluntarily served others. But it usually referred to one who was held in a permanent position of servitude. Under Roman law, a bondservant was considered the owner’s personal property.Slaves essentially had no rights and could even be killed with impunity by their owners(christsbondservants) given such a scenario, it needed Paul to teach such people to lead Christlike lives in their situations. He was not approving of their conditions but encouraging them to lead holy lives. I am sure our African American ancestors found this scripture very timely because they understood what it meant to be in servitude.
   Jagem said that Paul persecuted and sold out his Hebrew brothers the true… saints and got them killed or sent to prison, by the chief Christian priests, on his orders.Paul further persecuted the church of God (Judea). Let us examine the word persecute which means
(1) To harass in a manner designed to injure, grieve, or afflict
(2) To cause to suffer because of belief
(3) To annoy with persistent or urgent approaches(as attack)
(4) The act or practice of persecuting those who differ in origin, religion, or social outlook(Paul persecuted against the Abrahamic religion of Moses and the prophets)
 Evidence: Acts 26:10, 11 “Which thing I also in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut (put) up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. And I punished them oft (all) in every synagogue, and compelled (force) them to blaspheme; and being exceeding mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities...
 Evidence: Acts 8:1-3 and Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; as for Saul he made havoc (Destruction) of the church, entering into every house, and hauling (Hebrew) men and woman committed them to prison.
 Evidence: Galatians 1:13-15 you have heard…how beyond measure I (Saul), persecuted the church of god and wasted it- And profited in the Jews (Abrahamic) religion above many of my equals in mine own nation, (Israel) being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions (Moses law) of my fathers.
         The fallacy in Jagem's teaching here is in the unfortunate adulterating of scripture and facts of History with his distorted mind as conditioned by the teaching of the false gospel of Barnabas. The people that Saul persecuted were Christian believers irrespective of their nationality or race.They were not just Hebrews. Acts 8 reports that many people in Samaria who were considered gentiles also believed and it is this group of people made up of Hebrews, former Jewish priests who became the people of the way-the people that Saul persecuted. So when Jagem says that the people persecuted were hebrews, where does he get this information if not from the false gospel of Barnabas?
      Another Fallacy is in what Jagem says that Paul obtained permission to persecute the church from a chief christian priest, in his own words Jagem says- by the chief Christian priests, on his orders.Paul further persecuted the church of God (Judea). Now what does the Bible say? Acts 9:1 -2 says; Now [a]Saul, still breathing [b]threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
       It is evident from the above verses that Saul got a letter from the High Priest was the leader of the Sanhedrin that sat in Jerusalem in the Temple. Christians at this time did not have Priests. When Jagem says that the High Priest was a chief Christian Priest, what does he mean and where does he get this information?

Fact: Saul threatened the true saints again if they did not believe in Christianity, as he sent letters to the churches in Damascus

Evidence: Acts 9:1-2 And Saul, yet breathing out threatening and slaughter (Death) against the disciples (saints) of the lord, Went unto the high priest, And desired (issued) of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way (came across any), whether they were men or woman, he (Saul) Might bring them (saints) bound (prisoners) unto Jerusalem.
       Anybody who is literate can see that Jagem is ignorant, a falsifier and a dangerous heretic. Imagine he says that Saul threatened the true saints again if they did not believe in Christianity, as he sent letters to the churches in Damascus How could Saul persecute true Christians if they did not believe in Christianity? What exactly is Jagem trying to do here? Saul was a Pharisee and he got letters form the Temple council in Jerusalem to kill Christians. Jegem isn't this fallacious?

Fact: The true Israelite saints could not put up with Paul any more! His false teaching and bringing the gentile pagans in God’s holy place became unbearable. They took to kill him. He was telling everybody not to believe the Laws of Moses.
 Evidence: Acts 21:28-31 “Crying out, men of Israel, help: this is the man, that teaches all men every where against the people, and the law(of Moses) and this place and further brought Greeks and hath polluted this holy place. And the whole city was moved and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut. And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, (Roman army) that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
         I hope my view of Jagem as a heretic will be confirmed by this fact. Jagem adds to scripture. He says what the scripture doesn't say. He does not differentiate Christianity with Judaism. Reading the portion from Acts 21: 18-31 which I cut and paste here for you to compare with what Jagem pasted;
ACTS 21:27 When the seven days were almost over, the Jews from [k]Asia, upon seeing him in the temple, began to stir up all the crowd and laid hands on him, 28 crying out, “Men of Israel, come to our aid! This is the man who preaches to all men everywhere against our people and the Law and this place; and besides he has even brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.” 29 For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple. 30 Then all the city was provoked, and [l]the people rushed together, and taking hold of Paul they dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut. 31 While they were seeking to kill him, a report came up to the [m]commander of the Roman [n]cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.
      Who are these People Jagem is referring to as true Israelite saints? The expressly says that Jews from Asia not even from Jerusalem but Asia. This region referred to as Asia included Galatia,Colosae,and Ephesus. These cities were Gentile in nature but many Jews lived in them and they were Jewish by religion and descent. The reasons for these people stirring the crowds to stone Paul were just accusations.The same Religious Jews accused Jesus Christ of blasphemy and many times they wanted to kill Him
Matthew 12:14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus,
John 8: 58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." 59Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.,
John 10:31
Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him,
John 10:39
Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
John 11:8
"But Rabbi," they said, "a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?"
And they finally succeeded in nailing our Lord to the cross. All these things happened before the eyes of the same high priests and the same Temple Council.
       The same Jews accused Paul that he had brought a gentile in the Temple. Jagem has by the direction of the hollow spirit of the false gospel of Baranabas, omitted verse 29 for the same Acts chapter 21 that says from part b of verse 28 .. and besides he has even brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.” 29 For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
       This was an allegation used to make the Jews want to stone Paul. Just the same way they said of Jesus Mark 14:56-59 says that For many bore false witness against him, but their testimony did not agree. 57 And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying, 58 "We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.’ ” 59 Yet even about this their testimony did not agree.
     If this was the true Christian group, where did Jesus teach that the Gentiles were not allowed to come into the Temple? Paul was the Apostle who First preached about there being no difference between a Jew and a Gentile. Galatians 3: 28 there can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one [man] in Christ Jesus.
       The heretic Jagem goes on to display his ignorance of scripture by saying that:
Fact: Paul was also teaching Jews not to believe the Law of Moses and their customs, as to circumcise their children.
Evidence: Acts 21:21 and they are informed of thee (Paul) that Thou (you) Teaches all the Jews which are among the gentiles to forsake Moses, saying That they ought to (should) not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
  Looking at the so called fact and the evidence he gives, the portion of scripture Jagem selectively cut and pasted shows that the accusation against Paul were mere fabrications. I hereby give the whole scripture as it is;
 Acts 21:19b-24 emphasis in bold vs 24
 “You see, brother, how many [d]thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law; 21 and they have been told about you, that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children nor to [e]walk according to the customs. 22 What, then, is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come. 23 Therefore do this that we tell you. We have four men who [f]are under a vow; 24 take them and purify yourself along with them, and [g]pay their expenses so that they may shave their [h]heads; and all will know that there is nothing to the things which they have been told about you, but that you yourself also walk orderly, keeping the Law.
        The concern I have with the what Heretic Jagem calls a fact here, is that the language he used. The grammar and punctuation is wanting. He said he would simplify for me to understand but I do not think simplifying allows one to murder English in the way it has been murdered.  In one word I would say the so called fact below is not even worth of being commented on. For even the verses that are given as evidence, contradict it.
    Jagem the heretic says
Fact: after all of Paul traitorous acts, Jesus came onto him on the road to Damascus in 33 A.D.  In spirit form and was annoyed with him teaching Christianity and the ways of the gentiles to his people then Jesus told Saul. Know I make you a minister of Truth and deliver his people from Lucifer and the Gentiles.

Evidence: Acts 26:13-18 “at midday, o king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shinning Round about me and them Which journeyed with me, and when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (thorn) And I said, who art thou, lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou Persecutes, but rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee (you) a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast (have) seen, and of those things in the (future) which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people, and from the gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, (you) to open their eyes, and to turn them (Israel) from darkness to light, (truth) and from the power of Satan unto god that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. (Also read acts 9:1-19)
    The following so called fact is also like the foregone one because there is no evidence to what is being saying. How did Paul persecute Ishamael? The truth of this so called fact comes from the false gospel of Barnabas. A critical look at Paul's use of the Old Testament stories and events to illustrate key issues of Faith will show that Paul was fundamentally confirming scripture with scripture and also demonstrating that he was well versed in the Scriptures.  It can also be observed that the scripture quoted here shows that Paul was referring to two dispensations in the history of the nation of Israel i.e the first stage covers the dispensation of the Law (bondage) which came first just as Ishmael came first and the dispensation of the promise(freedom)came later.  The followers of the false gospel of Barnabas like Jagem misinterpret this part of Paul's teaching to say that Paul was prophesying the coming of Prophet Mohammed. That is what Jagem fell short of saying but he insinuated so. Here is the so called fact:
Fact: Paul also persecuted Abraham’s son, Ishmael, who was blessed by God. Paul spook against H-agar the mother of Ishmael who was a bondwoman, Paul mocked her not worthy but god blessed Ishmael with a nation, castles and princes, like his brother Isaac. (Read Genesis 21:9-13. 23:17-18. 25:12-16)
 Evidence: Galatians 4:22-31 for it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bond maid (Hagar) the other by a free woman (Sarah). But he (Ishmael) who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he (Isaac) of the free woman was by promise. Which things is an allegory (truth) for these are the two covenants the one from the Mount Sinai, which gender to bondage, which is agar (Hagar?) For this agar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answered to Jerusalem Which now is, and is in bondage (slavery) with her children? But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he (Ishmael) that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what said the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman. So then, brethren (brothers) we are not children of the bondwoman, But of the free.
    The heretic Jagem now digs himself in folly and contradiction when he say the following:
Fact: After Jesus came onto Paul with the spirit of truth, he admitted he was a blasphemer, persecutor, insulting and ignorant in his belief in the word of God and thanked Jesus for bringing him into the true movement.
 Evidence: 1 timothy 1:12, 13 and I thank Christ Jesus our lord, who Hath enabled (gave) me, for that he counted (made) me faithful, Putting me into the ministry; who was before a blasphemer, and A persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did It ignorantly in unbelief
   There is nowhere in scripture where in scripture that shows at any time after Saul's conversion and became Spirit filled he said what Jagem says here. This is what the Bible says Acts 9:19-22
Now for several days he was with the disciples who were at Damascus, 20 and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, [h]saying, “He is the Son of God.” 21 All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying, “Is this not he who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and who had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?” 22 But Saul kept increasing in strength and confounding the Jews who lived at Damascus by proving that this Jesus is the [i]Christ.
         The heretic Jagem continues to wobble and hobble in ignorance by making such unfounded allegations that Paul can be said to be one man who did so much damage to the Laws of Moses, and the movement of Jesus to a point it was almost irreversible. By the time he saw the light, it was too late for him to correct the damage. He persecuted hundreds of his brothers, killed them or sent them to prison. Even though in the end he received the spirit of the truth from Jesus and repented his sins, nobody wanted to hear anything from him.
    The bible in the book Acts which is the only book that details the History of the Christ testifies to the fact that after Paul was converted, he was set apart and sent by the Lord to preach to the Gentiles a different Gospel from that preached by the 12 disciples but he started preaching to the Jews first who plotted to kill him again and again. so Paul went to the Gentiles; The Bible in Acts 13 46-48 has this to say:
 46 Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. 47 For so the Lord has commanded us,
‘I have placed You as a light for the Gentiles,That You may [ab]bring salvation to the end of the earth.’”48 When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of [ac]the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.
    The heretic Jagem concludes a string of his fallacies by saying that:
Finally, Paul set on a journey back to the Gentile Cities to preach the true word of God. He told them that he had previously taught the false doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church.
    To say that Paul taught the false doctrine of the Romans catholic Church is most unfortunate thing coming from the heretic Jagem's ignorance of the Bible. Where in the Bible is the Roman Catholic Church mentioned? Where does Jagem get this? This comes right from the head of Satan who is also known as Lucifer. Jagem is paid to lie and he naturally speaks lies. One who lies speaks from his/her own character just like Satan who is the father of lies. The Bible says in John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
   Another satanic verse ( read lie) from the Heretic Jagem is in this statement:
Paul’s actions never pleased the Roman Emperor. History has shown that you can have enemies or friends, but it also dictates that you must never respect a traitor.
     I always thought that Jagem was a researcher but he has come out as a cheat and plagiarizer. Have you ever wondered where he gets this information?He plagiarized the work of another Heretic called Hugee Timothy. You can find heretic Jagem's authority here:  Hugee,T.(2012) Age Of The Gentiles And The White God Delusion. Washington DC: AuthorHouse 199-207 and http://www.islam-guide.com/bqs/9historical.htm
     Lastly Jagem the heretic hobbles out of the Satanic brewing pot by throwing in a statement he also plagiarized from the above source saying that Paul was no longer good for the Roman Emperor Caesar Titus. So Caesar ordered the Roman Army to execute him. He was beheaded in 67 A.D.
     What the heretic says about the writings of Paul is chaff copied and pasted from Hugee(2012 pg 207)and does not add any value to the discussion. It would be a waste of time talking about. I have spend long hours responding to Jagem's plagiarized false teaching because I believe that is my calling as a Christian apologetic. I am called to contend for the faith. I believe that Jagem is among the people Jesus Christ died for. My calling him a heretic is based on what he writes about Christianity. Thanks for reading through.

ON RELATIONSHIPS AND MARRIAGE

 All of us are a product of our upbringing. The environment in which we grew determines how we view the world. We all need to be loved and from childhood we have had people around us who were responsible for our growing up, going to school, providing care, shelter, clothing, food and security. The people I am talking about here could be ones father and mother, relatives, foster fathers and mothers, children home's parents or even in the case of street families, the people who provide all or some of the things I have mentioned above. Therfore, the way one grew up influences not only how one views the word but also how one relates to those he/she interacts with in later stages of life.

      Some of us are considered to be loud mouthed, unappreciative, pompous, proud, withdrawn, abrasive, rude, uncompromising, unloving, disorganised and many other  worldly tag categorizations available in the vocabulary that our society has gathered over the years. But is it fair to jugde those others and place tags on them? Should we demand for apprecaition from those we help? Should we do things expecting to be recognized? Should we withhold further help from somebody because s/he did not appreciate or did not say thank you? The bible has numerous examples of men and women who served other without expecting anything back. My favourite example is the Apostle of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles who was also considered to be a bad man even by some people living now that He destroyed Religion-Paul. Paul wrote to the Colosians reminding them of the solemn duty of evrey  Christian- to love no matter what the distance may be. He wrote to some who had not even met him in person but the love of Jesus Christ welling in him overflowed to them.

2 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and[a] of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
           In the foregoing verses, Paul talks of that distance between him and the people he had mistered to. What was holding them together was not their own love but the love that was emanating from God through Jesus Christ. I  have heard people on TV and Radio shows who discuss about various topics like the one on K24.  It should be remembered  most of what people say are but opinions rehearsed  before  they go on air and they speak not from their experience but from what they have read from books.
     Distance relationships are very delicate and challenging. What is needed is God. When alone, one is always tempted to do what he/she wants  but what helps such a fellow is not the   love for the spouse but  God's love over him/her. He/ she focuses on Jesus Christ at Calvary and out of trouble he goes. God is so merciful that He does not treat us as our sins deserve. It is Him who does not lead  us into temptation but delivers us from evil as we always pray. It is not our strength or understanding or craftiness, it is not our ability or power like that of the American made-believe superman movie hero. Our daily duty is read His word, hide it in our hearts and apply it in our daily lives so as to get connected to our Head who is Jesus Christ. When connecetd to Him, we cannot be deceived by any persuassive words even if we are far apart separated by distance. Here are Paul's words;

4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it[b] with thanksgiving.
          There are many philosphies as there are many marriage philosophers on this earth. There are very many books on marriage at the moment than there were during the days of our parents. Our fathers never had an opportunity of even going to school to acquire the skill of reading but their marriages stood. There was no divorce in the African societies. If a man or woman cheated on the spouse, this was hundled amicably and there was no divorce. Women used to run away from an abusive husband but she still considered herself married to the father of the children. If she got married elsewhere, she could be brought back if the man changed for good and preference was given to the first husband. If she did not want to go back, she still stayed in her second marriage but she still had the liberty to go back to her first marriage.
         There was poligamy yes, but this was functional and not selfish as people look at it. There were many reasons for this. Men among the Kalenjins could go away from their families for months in search of pasture for their animals and they could still come back to their wives. Our problem is that we have drunk intoxicating venom from the western thought patterns and have left our own traditions calling them sin or even devilish. Paul warns the Colosians in the following words:
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Now, since we have Jesus Living in Us and we are walking in Him. We have to live according to him. As one lives  away  from his/her spouse, s/he should know that it's nolonger him that lives but Christ living in him. It is Christ who empowers  Christians to live by His word and to Obey His law of loving one another John 13: 34-35. Our Three Primary Needs
For reading & meditation - Colossians 2:1-10
"... in Him you have been made complete ..." (v. 10, NASB)
The first principle we must learn if we are to recover from the brokenness caused by troubles in the home is: Depend on God, and not on anyone else, to meet the deepest needs of your personality. Allow this truth to take hold of your innermost being and you will become a transformed person. The most basic needs of our personality are these: (1) the need to be loved unconditionally (security); (2) the need to be valued (self-worth), and (3) the need to make a meaningful contribution to God's world (significance). Human beings can only function effectively to the degree that these needs are met. If they are unsatisfied, our ability to function as a person is greatly hindered; if they are adequately met, then, other things being equal, we have the potential of functioning effectively. Notice, however, this important point - our needs for security, significance, and self-worth can be fully met only in a close and ongoing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If we do not let Christ meet those needs, then because they have to be met in order for us to function effectively, we will attempt to get them met in and through others. Although many do not realize it, this is what draws many people toward marriage, because they see the possibility of having their needs met through their partner. But no human being, however loving, kind, and considerate they may be, can fully meet these needs. I say again: they can be met fully only in a close and ongoing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Father, I sense that I am on the verge of something big and challenging. Help me to grasp this, for I sense that if I do, I shall become a transformed person. In Jesus' Name I ask it. Amen.

Going back to the Fundmentals of the Gospel of Grace

       Today I have been thinking about Gods goodness to us although we have been unfaithful. As Church leaders we have abdicated our mandate as recorded in Ephesians 4:11-16 where the Apostle Paul wrote that;  11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,  Most church leaders have fashioned for themselves statuses like the Hindu caste system where people are treated as their class dictates. Some have called themselves Apostles. If they are addressed and the title Apostle so and so is not included, they get offended. The question is; Does the word apostle mean a title, an office or a calling.  the Greek word from which the word Apostle is derived apostolos (ἀπόστολος, ου, ὁ) is a Noun, Masculine meaning ; a messenger, an envoy, a delegate, one commissioned by another to represent him in some way. Originally this referred to the men sent out by Jesus Christ Himself to preach the Gospel. So, the only people befitting to be called apostles without fear of any contradiction are the twelve disciples of Jesus. Their number remained to be 12 because after the death and departure of Judas Iscariot, Mathias was elected to replace him Acts 1:12-26.  Apart from these twelve, no one should ever claim to be an apostle and the word does not even mean a title or office.
       One may ask; if the word apostle refers only to the twelve, why does Paul call himself an apostle? To answer this question, we will have to look at the meaning given above;one commissioned by another to represent him in some way. Originally this refereed to the men sent out by Jesus Christ Himself to preach the Gospel.  In our case here, Paul was commissioned by Christ Himself on his way to Damascus thus: Acts 9:5
Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.[a] It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”  And from here Saul became Paul and was sent to the Gentiles while the twelve were sent to the children of Israel. God is a God of order and a master strategic planner who planned all these before the creation of the earth and all that is in it. It is my sincere belief that at the moment, we have neither Apostles nor Prophets because the work of these two is perfectly done, completed and embodied in the scriptures. If we want to know and hear from them, we just go to the Bible.
        Now back to the fundamentals, the work of pastors, teachers and evangelists, is in Ephesians 4: 12-14 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  None of us is doing this. We may be busy organizing annual conferences and seminars in big five star hotels or even at universities in many parts of the world. But the sinners who Christ died for, are not found in hotels but here ;

        At the moment many pastors are keeping quiet and there is none of us who can speak to our political leaders and tell them what the Lord is saying. In fact many pastor in Eldoret and other cities are playing partisan politics. In last few weeks Christiano leaders in Eldoret asked members of their flock to demonstrate "peacefully" and "pray against the Tsunami" . Indeed many faithful members went and did this. WE HAVE ALL BECOME LIKE THE POLITICIANS BECAUSE WE HAVE EVEN STARTED PRAYING IN THEIR STYLE. We do not ask ourselves what the cause of disunity is instead we assume that a certain group is wrong and the other is right. Among the members of the flock we have people who are members of the opposition and our prayers can stop them from thinking otherwise. If you keenly listen to the so called the Bottom line by KTN( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTNQC_LYb2s) you will here most people speaking with bitterness and there is no sign of reconciliation.

      Another mandate given to the pastors and church leaders is to teach and preach the whole gospel of Christ so that the flock will grow and in Paul's words;  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.  We all are in a blame game, blaming politicians, politicians blaming the common citizens for making "wrong" choices and the Government blaming the opposition and the west for all the problems affecting our country. We have forgotten what the Apostle Paul said in Ephesians that only if we speak the truth in love, shall we grow up to maturity. I am sure most of our youths are easily beguiled by false teachers of religion who take them captive by teaching them false religion that tells them to kill because it is a religious duty. Those taking part in Terror groups like the Al shabaab are not true Muslims but disgruntled youth who do not have jobs and are misled. Paul admonishes us saying;

15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
         Unfortunately, the church has left its responsibility of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and the ministers are instead building Kingdoms here on earth. Go to every city in Kenya and take a sample of where pastors live, where they belong as club members, who they associate with and where they shop. You will understand what I am talking about. In very few churches shall we find the gospel being preached because everybody holding a bible and can read and speak some English and Kiswahili is a pastor.  We should go back to the fundamentals of the gospel of Grace. Let us not build Kingdoms here but build the body of Jesus Christ for that is our duty and calling. Not buying big cars and building cathedrals and holding conferneces in hotels. When Christ Shall come, shall He find Faith?

Is it sin for girls to shave their hair in school?.

       I believe that the Bible teaches us to obey authority and schools have their own rules which are not against the teaching of the Bible. First, it is usual according to many of African cultures to keep our hair short clean. Girls among the Maasai, Kuria, Luhya, Abagusii, Agikuyu and even the Miji Kenda, keep short hair. So we are first Africans then religion comes in. So it is wise for these parents to understand that African beauty included short hair for girls- look at Lupita Nyongo and even the Late Miriam Makeba.

       Secondly, anybody who has been in the Kenya school system understands that it is not easy to take care of hair while in school. Students need at least 30-45 minutes to clean and comb their hair. So a girl would take approximately 1:30 minutes to prepare every morning. While she would be doing all these girls with short hair take only 15 minutes to prepare and start the morning prep. I have taught in girls schools and I have seen this many a time.
        Thirdly, what the Apostle Paul is speaking about here, is about the believers' faith and practice in worship and the passage specifically concerns married women and their husbands. Our girls in schools are not married. The Greek word used in I Cor 11:13-23 is gunaikos which means woman as in a married woman. The word Korë is what would refer to a girl or maiden. Therefore we can conclude that long hair is a sign of beauty for the married women's husbands not for everybody. That is why they were required to cover their heads.So when we look at the Pictures below which would be considered to be siutable signs of humilty in worship?

        Fourthly if a woman has no hair on her head then it was a 'shame' but not a sin and this was according to the prevailing culture of the Corinthians. So shaving of hair is not sin. Among the African communities, shaving hair signified morning or undergoing some rite of passage. Those cultures that practice circumcision, require the young boys to shave their hair before graduating and on the day they come out of seclusion  they are deemed smart if they have clean heads. So the parents should interpret our culture in the light of scripture. It is not sin for girls to shave their hair neither is it compromising the gospel.

Leadership Training at Wareng High school Kenya.

The video here was part of the experimentation of the MODEL FOR THE INTEGRATION OF LANGUAGE & LEADERSHIP LEARNING STRATEGIES THROUGH TEXTUAL MATERIALS AND AUDIO-VISUAL MEDIA FOR COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCY AND TRANSFORMATIONAL SERVANT LEADERSHIP FOR STUDENTS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN KENYA. This is my dissertation and was assisted by pastor Elly Kigunyi who was working with Scripture Union of Kenya. Please pray for us so that we shall roll this programme in the whole of Kenya to see a change in our schools.

 Many trainings that take place in our schools are superficial and "fire fighting" attempts to solve the problems of leadership in our schools in Kenya. I will upload the whole research report after being approved and validated soon. God bless you. Ideas and suggestions are welcome.   The prefects who took part in this project please keep in touch and may God bless you.
